Why Does WISE Certification Have Requirements?
WISE Certification is designed to mean more than simply completing a class. It represents a consistent professional standard.
Certification requirements ensure that every WISE Certified professional has a shared foundation of knowledge and skills, regardless of their winery, role, or previous experience. This allows our courses to build on common concepts and gives employers confidence in what a WISE Certification represents.
Some certifications therefore include foundational coursework, test-out options, or industry requirements in addition to the primary course. These aren’t intended to create extra hurdles. They’re there to protect the value and credibility of the certification.
You can take a WISE class to build your skills. When you earn WISE Certification, you’re demonstrating that you’ve met a broader professional standard.
Because certification should mean something.
